Happy Holidays!

I wanted to wish all my friends a happy and safe holiday!

Travel safe, dine safe, and drink safe!

I would have emailed this message, but with my parents' slow computer running on dial-up internet, it takes forever to do emails.

Cheers!

Relocation of Israel: Update

Today the news has announced comments made by Iran's president claiming that the holocaust is a myth and has never happened. I know that is not the first time the holocaust has been denied, but think it was silly for him to make such a comment when he said Germany should be responsible for giving the Jews land. His first comment seemed to acknolwedge that the holocaust occurred, but now he is denying that it happened.

We gotta love irrational regmines sometimes!

Cuba 2005! - Update #2

Our Cuba trip is coming up very fast, we depart for Cuba on Thursday December 15 at 6:20 am in the morning. We will be there for seven nights and be back on December 23rd in the afternoon. That makes me feel like there is so little time and so much to do before leaving Rochester.

We will be leaving Rochester sometime after one of our last class and meeting up with my family at the 401 in Milton and travel together to the airport.

My parents are encouraging us to bring some old clothes or school supplies that we can afford to donate to the Cuban people who work at the resort. I also think my parents plan on bringing a couple of suitcases full of medical supplies like they did last year.

So many thoughts for today...

What are insurgents?

I think it is funny that the US Government is arguing over what words to use instead of insurgents. The irony is Webster dictionary defines an "insurgency as an uprising or insurrection against established authority that is not well organized." Well, look at Iraq, the established authority in Iraq that was created by the US Government is obviously not well organized, thus using the word insurgents is appropriate!

What kind of dumb facks elected a dumb fack to lead this country?

Spend Money While You Earn It

Who would have ever thought of this, these people are very clever! Shop online while you are working! Makes perfect sense and this is a classic demostration that time is money, even if you are not working! Check out BBC
and CNN for info on the formula used to determine how much time is worth. Depending on your salary, it may be cheaper to buy take-out meals than cook your own meals!

Corrupted Cops:

A policeman made a documentary clip of life in the police department with several other colleagues. He got suspended from work, but after reading this article, I wonder why he should be suspended when he actually captured the real image of what other colleagues did to ordinary people.

Quiznos:

Got an email from Ticketmaster.com, dunno why they sent it to me because it was about Riverdance (how the hell can I understand the dance if I cannot hear the music). Anyways my point is... along with this email came some links to promotion coupons and one of them was for subs from Quiznos Sub. I decided to print the buy one get one free sub and test it in Dining Commons.

For those who have not been to RIT lately, there is a new Quiznos Sub built in the newly renovated Dining Commons cafeteria. The difference between Quiznos Sub off campus and on campus is that RIT's Quiznos Sub prices are friggin expensive (and probably come in lower quality too).

Thus to my friends and readers, enjoy some well deserved Quiznos Sub coupons!

Relocation of Israel:

I was reading this article and in some way I agree with what Iran's president said. After the Second World War, the United Kingdom and United States took a chunk of Palestine and drew up Israel and gave it to the Jews to control, how the heck could they do that when Palestine was not even their land.

I never really thought much of that until Iran's president mentioned that it was Germany who caused the problems for the Jews thus Germany should be responsible for allocating some land for the Jews to call their home. It totally makes sense and I still do not understand why the United States
condemned Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's remarks when the United States and United Kingdom should be condemned for yoinking Palestine away from the Arabs and giving it to Israel.

Now I completely understand why there is so much tension in Israel following the Second World War: several wars were fought between Israel and Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon and pretty much with the Palestine Liberation
Organisation. This type of Middle-East chaos would have have happen if Israel was located some where in Europe where the Jew problem occured, mostly in Germany.

I do not care if you think I am completely wrong to agree with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's statement. You can disagree, but I think what he had to say was fine.

Job Fair:

I guess I am already getting into the job search process this quarter. There will be a job fair tomorrow. I have my resumes all printed out, last thing I need to do is get my dress clothes out and hope they are not too wrinkled and fit just as well as they did when I last wore them.

What I hope to accomplish at this job fair is find several possible jobs for coop employment during the upcoming spring and summer quarters. I am kind of open to any location, but for some reason I would like to try and stay in Rochester for the spring and be more open to any location in the summer, including anywhere in the United Kingdom (only if I actually find employers that are looking for coop workers).

I am aware that another friend is going to try for a job in New York City and I actually think it would be awesome if I end up working in New York City too, but I would make sure I am not some where terrorists would want to strike next time America is striked!

It is too early to start thinking about what to do after my two coop jobs, but several friends have also brought up the idea of me taking up MSSE. I am not too fond of wanting to teach, but the chance to have the full summer off from work is very appealing to me and getting the chance to participate in these ridiculous arguments about cochlear implant, oralism and how Deaf people should accept that fact that hearing people want to eradicate Deaf people from this planet looks like fun to me.

Cochlear War:

A friend forwarded this to me. This is the perfect website that argues against cocklear implants so if you are against cocklear implants and like this website, spread the word, that means sending it to your parents and other hearing people who may think cocklear implants are the answer to erase Deaf culture off this planet.
