Cuba 2005! - Update #2

Our Cuba trip is coming up very fast, we depart for Cuba on Thursday December 15 at 6:20 am in the morning. We will be there for seven nights and be back on December 23rd in the afternoon. That makes me feel like there is so little time and so much to do before leaving Rochester.

We will be leaving Rochester sometime after one of our last class and meeting up with my family at the 401 in Milton and travel together to the airport.

My parents are encouraging us to bring some old clothes or school supplies that we can afford to donate to the Cuban people who work at the resort. I also think my parents plan on bringing a couple of suitcases full of medical supplies like they did last year.

lol, good point Lore

Better bring all the medical supplies for the cuts and bruises the Americans your bringing are going to suffer at the hands of the angry Cubans

Lore, Cuba has excellent expertise in medical technologies and uses it to create income for the country.

What is preventing Cubans from obtaining basic medical supplies is the cost of living in Cuba.

It is just the same as in the United States where so many people cannot afford health care, but the supplies are pretty much everywhere.

In Cuba, the health care is there, but the supplies are not there. :)

Buzzair, it is commonly misunderstood that Cuba hates the United States, it is more of the other way, Cuba welcomes Americans, but it is the American government trying to prevent Americans from going to Cuba to create hardship in Cuba in hope that the Cubans will revolt against Castro.

As long as Americans respect Cuba's leader, they will not need medical supplies. :)
